Awareness program and health camps to prevent the risk of various health problems due to consumption of tobacco and tobacco products

Objectives:

• To aware the people about the risk created by the ingestion of tobacco and to aware them about preventive methods.

• To conduct the health camp related to impact caused due to tobacco ingestion.

Key Activities:

• Agreement of program.

• Selection of place for program conduction.

• Informing VDC/Municipality/DHO and DDC for program conduction through letter and requesting for the participation.

• Community level awareness creation innovative program conducted.

• School level awareness creation program conducted.

• The health camp related to impact caused due to tobacco ingestion was conducted.

• Submission of program report.

Project Period: 1 month (June 17-July 16, 2015)

Project Location: Panchkhal Municipality and Banakhu VDC of Kavrepalanchok District.

Major Achievements:

• The 367 person people are benefited who suffered from tobacco ingestion were treated in the camp with related medicines.
• The 277 person people are benefited by awareness program open road play.
• 88 students of secondary level against tobacco ingestion were aware through this program.
