Community Bridge Building at the Local Level (BBLL)

Objectives: The main goal of the programme is to contribute towards poverty reduction through improvement of access to social and basic services and economic resources and opportunities of the local people by building trail bridges within one hour detour.

 

Key Activities:

  • Community mobilization and facilitation in bridge construction.
  • Activate the user committees.
  • Conducted DMBT Training.
  • Facilitated for public hearing, public review and public audit.
  • Assisted for Social inclusion, transparency and livelihood building.
  • Carried out the overall construction and supervision of the works.
  • Prepared the details design of suspended type bridge.
  • Supported in technical and social organizational activities conduct.

Major Achievements:

  • 20 bridges construction committee formation and mobilization. Participated on 74 female and 110 male.  Representative on 13 dalit, 148 janajati and 23 brahmin/cheetri/thakuri.
  • 34 bridges details survey and drawing, cost estimate preparation.
  • 8 days 2 DMBT training conducted for the UCs and bridge builders.
  • Facilitated the User Committee constriction completed 20 bridges Public Audit (PA) and Final Technical Check and Assessment (FA).
  • 20 Bridges Routine Maintenance Committee (RMC) formation and 20 person bridge supervisors selected.
  • 20 construction complete bridges technical and social organizational support through bridges construction stakeholders UCs direct flow funds DDC NPR. 2,155,853.27, VDCs NPR.842,109.95.95, RRRSDP NPR. 28,731,534.75, public work contribution cash convert NPR. 650,418.79, Trail Bridge Support Unite (TBSU) kind (Materials') support cash convert NPR. 3,563,071.71 SUM of NPR. 35,942,988.47 mobilization support to users committee.
  • 20 bridges construction completed through 7928 households, 2859 dalit-2859, 33830 janajati and 7302 brahmin/chhetri/thakuri sum of 43991 population direct beneficiaries. 
  • The total beneficiaries from the aforementioned bridge construction are 23315 female and 20676 male within 7928 households, in which there were 4382859 dalit, 33830 janajati and 7302 brahmin, chhetri and  thakuri beneficiaries.
  • 20 bridges construction completed through 1367.6 meters bridges add in dolakha district.
