Trail Bridge Sub Sector Program (TBSSP), Kavrepalanchok District

Objectives: The main goal of the program is to contribute towards poverty reduction through improvement of access to social and basic services and economic resources and opportunities of the local people by building trail bridges within one hour detour.

 

Key Activities:

  • Community mobilization and facilitation in bridges construction.

  • Activate the user committees.

  • Facilitate for public hearing, public review and public audit.

  • Assist for social inclusion, transparency and livelihood building.

  • Over all construction supervision work during construction and erection of the bridge.

  • Oriented community on the Trail Bridge Program and Approaches; fill-out community application from.

  • Facilitate Details Survey, Design, Estimation of Trail Bridge and Still Truss Bridge.

  • Mobilize UCs members for the implementation of bridge building activities.

  • Conduct Bridge Construction supervision, Monitoring.

  • Supported for the technical and social organizational activities conduction in community.

Major Achievements

  • Completion of 22 trail bridges in Kavreplanchok district. Namely, Sanojyamire trail bridge (73m), Rangcha Khola trail bridge (63.8m), Lamiduwali trail bridge (60.5m), Ladkeshwor trail bridge (97.10m), Besare still truss bridge (32m), Chyalti still truss bridge (32m), Masanghat still truss bridge (32m), Sikredovan trail bridge (120m), Phyang Khola trail bridge (54.5m), Jyamire trail bridge (81m), Phokhara Khola Dovan trail bridge (67.16m), Danphe Khola trail bridge (51.35m), Khandadevi trail bridge (90m), Maluwabesi trail bridge (105.10m), Apaltar trail bridge (45m), Khimteswar Mahadev trail bridge (73m), Dhanamanabesi trail bridge (92m), Agrichaur trail bridge (87m), Surkekhola trail bridge (60m), Simle Janghar trail bridge (67m), Mahadevtar Hattidanda trail bridge (58m) and Mahadevtar trail bridge (92m).
  • The total beneficiaries from the aforementioned bridge construction are 18282 Female and 17490 Male within 6087 households, in which there were 1186 dalit, 27623 janajati and 6963 brahmin/chhetri/Thakuri beneficiaries.
  • The numbers of locals provided with employment for livelihood improvement were 38733. in total within which were 1184 dalit males, 393 dalit females, 23895 janajati males, 7870 janajati females, 323 minorate males, 76 minoret females, 3716 Brahmin/Chhetri/Thakuri males, 1276 Brahmin/Chhetri/Thakuri females.
