Wildlife Conservation in Community Forestry: Role and Responsibility of the Community

Objectives: To provide the capacity building of NGO, our local grass root partner’s organization, civic society community members and interested Nepalese ecologist through organizing workshop.

 

Key Activities:

  • To share the plants survey technique.
  • To create the community awareness on plant conservation among the marginal sections of the society by this workshop.
  • To prepare the agendas on plant conservation.
  • To share the technique on plant identification, herbarium preparation, separation of plants as per the ethno-botanical uses.
  • To discuss on commercialization and domestication of highly valuable Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (MAPs).
  • To publish and disseminate outputs of organized workshop.

  • Action plan preparation for the future courses of action.
  • Promoted wildlife conservation in local initiatives.
  • Community based policy and strategy on wildlife conservation in community forestry.
  • Rules and regulations (provision and punishments).
  • Total 80 People, 48 female and 32 male capacity buildups and educated for Wildlife Conservation in Community Forestry: Role and Responsibility.
